But what is the Ceremony of the Christmas Cheese?

The tradition of cheesemakers donating cheese to the Chelsea Pensioners dates back to the opening of the Royal Hospital in 1692 when a local cheesemonger agreed to provide Chelsea Pensioners with their festive supply of cheese. The tradition grows year on year, and we are one of many Cheesemakers who donate cheese to the Chelsea Pensioners each Christmas.
